Infected Blood Inquiry Report: out now

As announced on the Cloisters website last week, Sarah Fraser Butlin KC, Rachel Barrett and Tamar Burton have been acting as counsel to the Infected Blood Inquiry. The resulting Inquiry Report has been published today in seven volumes covering what happened and why, and responses by the government and public bodies.

In the Report’s summary, Chair of the Inquiry, Sir Brian Langstaff explains, ‘The scale of what happened is horrifying’, ‘…it could largely, though not entirely, have been avoided’ and the findings ‘make[s] for hard reading’.
